This is just too bizarre. I mean, when you think about it... I'm surprised that it took until 2008 for someone to actually produce a "bro", but damn its strange looking. Why does it come in pink? Would you wear one of these things? Register at Otakuden now and let us know how you feel about wearing a man-bra!

I laughed my ass off when I saw this picture. Apparently some Japanese lingerie manufacturer saw the “Seinfeld” episode of “It’s The Bro” one too many times and decided that there was indeed a market for such a product. I don’t understand why the designs on the poster look like women’s bras? Is this a product for men who do drag on the weekends, or those with lingerie fetishes? I thought it’s for those with sagging men breasts but the designs sure don’t look manly enough to assure them that they won’t turn gay upon wearing them. I guess these poor fools don’t have a lot of options. It’s either they walk with sagging breasts, wear this undergarment or go under the knife for a Male Mastopexy Chest Lift surgery. Back to the “bros”, I wonder if they will help lift and separate like a good women’s bra. Gee, I have way too many questions about this product. I should put one on to satisfy my curiosity.

So what do you guys think? Does Madonna have what it takes to be a warrioress, or does seppuku sound like too much of a hassle for the woman that only has 4 minutes to save the world? Register at Otakuden and put up your comments!

Madonna… Japanese? Well that’s what she says. Madonna revealed that she was a “Japanese warrioress” in a previous lifetime. I guess stranger things have come out of Madonna’s mouth. This is just weeks after her very public divorce of Guy Richie. I wonder if this is ment to be a statement to Guy about the terms of their divorce. Maddona says:
"I must have been Japanese in a previous life. I’m pretty sure I was a
warrioress. I can’t explain it, I just know. I’m good at fighting –
fighting with a big sword."

AZ Central reports that there may be a big custody battle between Madonna and Guy. This could be her signal that she’s willing to fight for what is hers. But why did she have to bring Japan into this?

Today's Geekdad has a nice review of our latest book, Fashioning Technology:
Fashioning Technology gives neophyte DIYers the tools and skills they need to expand their tinkering capabilities, but it's also a lot of fun and very educational for people who've already got their feet wet. And for those of us who are competent with electronics but interested in expanding our crafting skills, the dual craft-tech projects are a great help.
"Fashioning Technology" Embraces the Fusion of Craft & Tech

Buy Fashioning Technology by Syuzi Pakhchyan in the Maker Shed today!
This book demonstrates how to blend sewing and assembly techniques with traditional electronics to assemble simple circuits using conductive thread, solder joints for snaps, and switches for buttons. With the sewing machine as a viable substitute for the soldering iron, you can craft a new generation of objects that are interactive, quirky, and fashion-conscious.
Look for Fashioning Technology Kits soon this Summer in the Maker Shed! For now, check out the rest of our CRAFT Kits.

Dorkbot Austin #16 is this Thursday, and it's full of steampunk wearable robotic wonders:
- Jason Delaney's steampunk (literally) homebrew still that can be used to make alcohol, herbal oils, purify water, etc.
- Chase Hammock's touchscreen driven wearable multimedia computer
- Adam Iseman's Ard-e, a sub-$100 robotics platform

We're at Cafe Mundi, 8pm to 10; here's a map.
If you've got your own project to show off, be sure to bring it along and participate in the Opendork (ad-hoc 5-minute speeches at the end of the night)!
